DESIGNATION : Sparkling rosé WINE NAME : Bulle d’1 Jour SOLL : Sandy granite soil on a gentle slope EXPOSURE : South, Southwest VINES : Very young vines, 3 to 20 years old, produce this rosé, the same as for the 20 Plaisirs. When they are more than 20 years old, these vines will produce Beaujolais Villages wine. The vines are bush-trained in goblet form, hand-cultivated due to the sloping terrain with some mechanical intervention such as plowing between the vines. In order to best respect the environment, treatment is minimal depending on the yearly conditions. WINEMAKING PROCESS : This wine is made using the traditional Brut method, that is to say, manual harvesting, first fermentation in the vat, second fermentation in the bottle and 9 months of ageing on a slat base (sur lattes). The first wine is the same as the 20 Plaisirs. Depending on the year, the winemaking process is accomplished with few or no added such as sulfits. BOTTLING : The wine is filtered and bottled by an enterprise specializing in sparkling wines and is ticketed with our label. TASTING AND CONSUMPTION : To be served at about 7°C (45°F) as an aperitif or with dessert. WINE-MAKER ADVICE : This is a fresh and delicate wine to be drunk with friends as an aperitif or with dessert. It is light and fruity which makes it a very agreeable sparkling wine with its aromas of raspberry and almond and its pretty pink color. A dry wine, very refreshing in summer ! AGEING POTENTIAL : 4 years ALCOHOL CONTENT : 11,5 % by volume |
