DESIGNATION : French Rosé Wine WINE NAME : 20 Plaisirs SOLL : Sandy granite soil on a gentle slope EXPOSURE : South, Southwest VINES : Very young vines, 3 to 20 years old, produce this rosé. At the age of 20 years, the vines will produce Beaujolais Villages wine. The vines are bush-trained in goblet form, hand-cultivated due to the sloping terrain with some mechanical intervention such as plowing between the vines. In order to best respect the environment, treatment is minimal depending on the yearly conditions. WINEMAKING PROCESS : Manually harvested, the bunches of red grapes are pressed immediately before being put into the vat (the same procedure as used for white wines). Settling is accomplished by cooling the wine to 4° C (40°F) followed by fermentation in the vat. This method is called “rosé de press.” The winemaking process is accomplished with a minimum of additives such as sulfits. BOTTLING : The wine is filtered and bottled and labeled by our enterprise. TASTING AND CONSUMPTION : To be served at about 7°C (45°F) with a salad, barbecue or simply by itself ! WINE-MAKER ADVICE : This wine is summer! When it's hot, you will appreciate a glass of this flavorful rosé with its aromas of strawberries and citrus fruits. It's a light wine appreciated by delicate palates. AGEING POTENTIAL : 4 years ALCOHOL CONTENT : 11,5 % by volume |
